Gray

Feeling ho-hum today.

Maybe it’s the weather. Maybe I need a break. Maybe there’s no need to analyze it – it just is what it is.

But that’s ok. Not everyday has to be roses and rainbows. I need to learn how to find the moments in the day, even if they’re small, and simple, and short-lived. So here’s to that – a steep learning curve, for sure, but one that’s worth it, in the end.

Fiddleheads

Fiddelheads

Spring hike, filled with all things new.

After the storm

After the storm

It rained buckets, then the sky opened up at sunset.

Necessary

Had a good day yesterday – bike ride, taught the older one to snap his fingers, played pirates, had an after-dinner dance party. Lots of laughs, lots of play, lots of unwinding. Feels so good.

Tea time

A very necessary (twice) daily ritual, both for the peace and the caffeine injection.

Where it all begins

“Climb the mountains and get their good tidings. Nature’s peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees. The winds will blow their own freshness into you, and the storms their energy, while cares will drop off like autumn leaves.”
~John Muir”

I hope to post here images from my day, scenes from nature, thoughts that inspire – all in an effort to slow down, capture the small moments of my days, and experience life in all it’s simple glory. Join me.
