There’s something so beguiling about beech; the leaves hang tenaciously to their branches in the understory, doing their little dance in the slightest breeze, glowing pale with the backlit sun.

  1. My favourite tree. You’re right. I love the sound their paper crunchy leaves make stirring in the breeze. I also love the smell of their sticky sappy buds.
